Flowcharts

Flowchart is a diagram that presents processes in a step by step manner. Different shapes convey different meaning. Boxes represent steps; diamonds represent decisions and circles indicate continuation. These shapes are connected by arrows showing directions on which steps one action leads.

Flowcharts are very effective as a visual aid for instructions or procedures because it is very simple. It is also effective because flowcharts use communicate graphically. What I mean with communicating graphically is that flowcharts use more pictures than words. There are word instructions but it is the graphics that put sense to those instructions.

With proper utilization of flowcharts, it could be a very powerful tool especially for presentations. It can make the presentation easier to understand and it can save a lot of time in the part of the presentor. It can also avoid the confusion from too much words used and more importantly it is easier to remember .
